About 7% of the population ride horse, or would like to ride. This will include the people in the new development.
Horse riders are predominantly women (about 93%) and most participate in no other sport.

The SPD takes forward the requirements of Policy LPRSP4(B) of the Local Plan Review which established the necessary scope of infrastructure., which did not include a specific reference to horse riders.
