This proposed development does not truly reflect the great new garden towns of the past. It offers very little if any long-term employment opportunties or provide any benefits to the existing community. With agreed 1000 new homes agreed for Lenham , the redevelopment of the former Marley site and the possible extension of charing quarry. All of these schemes combined will lead to the long-term destruction of the Len Valley. Such destruction will have a negative impact upon existing local buisnesses and community
Objection noted.
The SPD takes forward the requirements of Policy LPRSP4(A) of the Local Plan Review which established that the development should aim to provide for as close to 5,000 new jobs as feasible and viable
Section 6.10 sets out guidelines and principles for employment, and the types of new employment space to be provided.
Future planning applications will need to consider and address all issues and requirements.
