Q33: Please set out any changes that you think should be made to the principles & guidance for ‘Long term Stewardship’.

Representation ID: 91

Received: 11/11/2025

Respondent: Mr Philip Riches

Representation Summary:

Who will manage the development? Who will be responsible for litter picking and care of the park and Country Park from day one? Will the development by 'adopted' by KCC straight away?

Our response:

Comment noted.
The SPD sets out principles and requirements related to long term stewardship at Section 11. An appropriate approach will need to evolve through collaboration between the developer, Maidstone Borough Council (with Kent County Council), local Parish Councils, and other relevant stakeholders. This will need to set out as part of work associated with future planning applications.
