HS1 station link into St Pancras and on to HS2 and Birmingham would considerably increase the potential for those living in this development.

The SPD takes forward the requirements of Policy LPRSP4(A) of the Local Plan Review which established the necessary scope of infrastructure, which includes a new station between Lenham and Charing, but not a new station on the HS1 line.

Partially in that the need for access to rail has been recognised but it should also not lose sight of the huge opportunity to provide access onto the existing High Speed rail line running through the development

Q3: Are there any issues and elements which you feel are inaccurate or missing?

No reference to the HIGH SPEED rail line (HS1) running through this site. Provision of a station to access this service and provide High Speed rail for Maidstone needs to be addressed. The current rail line is overcrowded and gives no efficient access to areas north of London let alone the possibility to use International services.
