In the south East we have the most sites Nationally
I personally feel that the sites allocated have not been adequately looked at . In particular The Brishings C4S(017) due to dominance of site in area , suitably due to infrastructure , sustainability of site due to lack of local services and resources. . Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government dated December 2024 under Policy C clearly states that, “when assessing the suitability of sites in rural or semi-rural settings, local. planning authorities should ensure that the scale of such sites does not dominate the nearest settled community.
The Brishings C4S (017) This site is completely unsuitable due to location , a single track narrow lane with listed properties , limited access , no pedestrian access , very limited resources including lack of public transport, no local shops , job opportunities, lack of gp and school places . Lack of privacy and would be catastrophic to local biodiversity due to local farming orchards. The proposed site is also on a flood plan is surrounded by properties and would dominate the area . Langley heath has been identified as a non sustainable village and area in the government local plan .
I do agree that there is a need for additional plots or sites however The Brishings is not suitable for consideration.
The Brishings C4S (017) The development cannot be made safely accessible to and from the public highway by all vehicles using the site; The scale of the proposed site is not in proportion to, and would not dominate, the nearest settled community;
