New searchThere are concerns that this is just a way of land owners selling off land to Maidstone Council purely for their own financial gain.
The map is illegible. There is no mention of sites such as C4S (008) - what category is this under? and also to note, there appears to be an 'unspecified' number of caravan pitches for this site, what does that actually mean? A large number of pitches and associated traffic will have a negative impact on this small, already over trafficked village.
This is all very vague and non specific on numbers and potential impact....!!
C4S (008) and others have 'Not specified' beside them. NOTHING should be agreed to without this information. This proposed site is butting up to a conservation area, no mention of this has been documented or highlighted. Water Lane leads directly onto the junction of The Street and Roundwell - this is a dangerously narrow and busy road leading into a quiet village, not suitable for a cut through to the motorway.
C4S (008) This site has 'non specified' number of plots. as already outlined and highlighted in the previous question. The use of this proposed site CANNOT be agreed to without further details, Bearsted is a small, quiet and unique village which has already been extensively and over expanded. The stretch of road through the village - Ware Street/The Street/Roundwell - has become a dangerously busy, over trafficked cut through to the motoway, To bring the currently quiet Water Lane into increased usage will definitely have a negative impact on this small village, with the proposed site very close in proximity to the main village conservation area.
There are too many grey areas. Total lack of trust on the motives of land owners selling off land for short term profit, with little or no regard for the 'intrinsic charecteristics' of small villages such as Bearsted
Despite a couple of read through, still unclear what the actually meaning and potential development of these 'windfall' sites is
